Top Trade Show Exhibit Trends

Friday, February 15th, 2008

By Mat Kelly Current trends are creating a different climate at trade shows these days. With competition for the customers attention stronger than ever, exhibitors are no longer fixated on separating themselves from their competitors by focusing on a particular product and simply talking about solutions and benefits. Which leads us to the first, and probably most profound, trend in trade show exhibiting. Experiential Exhibits: Product pitches and demos are out at least they are no longer the centerpiece of a trade show exhibit. Instead of the literal, one-on-one, were better because . . . spiel, the challenge has become creating an experience for the potential customer that leaves them in awe, or at least makes a strong enough impression that they forget about the competition. While the trade show booth is a temporary fixture, the idea is to create a space that has a feeling of permanence and keeps the customer engaged. So engaged, in fact, that the customer has a memorable experience, and associates that experience with your product eliminating the need for the hard sell, and creating a smooth landing for the soft sell. Each element of these experiential exhibits is crucial and must be carefully selected to effectively execute a cutting-edge, yet warm and inviting, space. Any sort of edutainment feature anchored in technology, such as interactive computer games that test knowledge or popular television game shows as a template for a game featuring facts and information about your company or industry, are a must-have. Making this part of your trade show booth space gives you an opportunity to make your booth more of an interactive space. Materials: There are many different types of materials that can be used and are used to make trade show displays. But because of its versatility and low cost in comparison to other materials, fabric is one of the trendiest materials to use for your booth. Metal and wood are used less frequently because of their weight, bulkiness and inflexibility. You can use fabric in a subtle way, almost like a canvas, to create a backdrop for the theme of your space. And often, the light, airy nature of the fabrics used for todays exhibits create a light, airy feeling for your trade show display. But more often, you will find fabric being used for the banner stands, such as the Allure tensioned fabric banner displays that have recently hit the market. These high-quality banners are quickly set up (about two minutes with no tools needed) and easy to put together, convenient to travel with (even on an airplane,) economical to ship, and, shelves can be added to the banners for a more sophisticated look. These advantages, along with the long life and durability of the Allure banners, makes them slightly more expensive than typical banner stands. But the extra money is worth it - these banners create such a strong presence that they can be used by themselves or combined with a pop-up or custom booth to really make your space pop. Lighting: Whether you are going for a more traditional trade show booth or the cutting-edge experiential, lighting is crucial in creating the mood for your space. Because of this, custom lighting is becoming more mainstream. Using filtered or wash lights creates a mood that drastically contrasts with a trade show display that uses spotlights. But ambience is not the only reason custom lighting has become more popular. You can also use lighting however dramatic or subdued to bring attention to featured products. The Final Touches Todays trade show visitors are limited on time and bombarded with a flurry of sales and marketing gimmicks. To stand out in the crowd, here are some additional trends that have emerged in recent years. Booth Details Once you have gotten a visitors attention and they have entered your space, you must give them a good reason to stick around for more than a couple of seconds. This is the time for you to immerse the customer with your brand. Visitors want to see how your product or service will benefit them so show them. Testimonials are an easy way to achieve this, in addition to marketing materials featuring people using your product, as well as the standard product demonstration. And because presentation is everything, additional pieces in your booth, such as literature racks, are a good way to keep your space organized while attractively displaying your marketing materials without overwhelming prospects with too much information. Time is of the Essence With the demands of today’s busy work schedules, most visitors do not have an entire day to spend at a trade show. Their time at the event is valuable, so you must be able to get their attention and quickly and easily explain what your company offers. Some of these visitors will come to the trade show as a team, and the team will include decision-makers who evaluate you, in comparison with the competition. Get the Word Out This is a trend that has been around for awhile, but one that is often overlooked. Prior to the event, let your clients and potential customers know that you are participating in a trade show use every promotional opportunity to mention it, use direct mail, email and other traditional marketing avenues to drive more traffic to your exhibit. Trade shows are an essential piece of an overall successful marketing strategy. And implementing these trends for your trade show space will help create that memorable experience for clients and potential customers that will hopefully make follow-up a breeze. Thursday, February 14th, 2008

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Elizabeth_Gracy]Elizabeth Gracy The way things are going on, it seems as if the major mobile phone networks are trying every trick in the book to lure more and more consumers. When it comes to such a competition then its simply so far so good. As, its obvious that this competition would automatically benefit the customer. To promote their contract mobile phones, different leading mobile companies use all the ubiquitous methods such as calling prospective customers, contacting them through direct mail and e-mailing. Major mobile companies also offer some attractive benefits with contract mobile phones. But, most of the consumers do choose their mobile phones as per their personal preferences and needs. There is one major advantage with contract mobile phones, as the user can get the desire mobile handset after paying a specific amount of money as security. Afterwards, there is a specific monthly rent that the user has to pay. Besides, user will have to pay the bill for the calls. In present day scenario, the major mobile phone networks are 3 Mobile, T Mobile, Orange, O2, Virgin, and Vodafone. Relationship Advice: Marriage Counseling for a Healthy Relationship

Wednesday, February 13th, 2008

By Steve Roberts How do you know when it’s time for marriage counseling? Easy. Are you in a relationship, even a good one? Then it is time. Years ago my wife and I participated in an organization called “Marriage Encounter,” which emphasized communication techniques. I’ve always liked its motto: “Making Good Marriages Even Better!” That’s what I hope to emphasize for you today. It’s time to make your good relationship even better! And how do I suggest you do that? If you have a relationship that is doing pretty good and doesn’t really need any help, then I want you to go to Marriage Counseling! You may think that counseling is only for problems, but that’s not so. People without all those nasty problems can use the process to create far better lives than they ever imagined. I so love it when a couple comes to me just to grow. I’ll admit that this is usually not the case. It usually takes pain to get people through my office door. But, occasionally, couples come to me just to make their good relationship even better. What fun that is! So, what does a couple do in therapy if they have no problems to work on? There are SO many things we can do: -Develop even more sophisticated communication abilities -Use psychological instruments (tests) to determin differences, simularities, and how to complement each other’s personality gifts -Seek spiritual growth together -Take time out from the busy-ness of life and become clear on what your common goals are and how you want to get there -Strategize how you will handle holiday get-togethers with in-laws and other relatives that are not that pleasant to be with And this is just the beginning. There is so much we can do to improve these marvelous relationships we’ve been given. Is it worth the cost? I think of it in terms of the old question at the end of life: Will you wish you had spent more time at work, or more time on your family and marriage? For most of us, the answer is clear. There is nothing in the end more important than our relationships to the people we treasure. The cost of taking yourselves to a counselor and working on life together is really nothing compared to the lifetime of joy and wonder that is possible with your partner. The grocery bill, the car payments, the mortgage, the clothes for the kids and the thousands of other things we feel we must spend our money on will all argue against this couple counseling opportunity. However, I suggest that it is not an issue of whether you can afford it, but whether you can afford to not do it. Is your relationship really good enough for you, or do you wonder if there is more? Go for it! Grab all the love and togetherness you can get! And use a counselor to help you see what you may be missing. How to Get a Flat Stomach

Monday, February 11th, 2008

By Paul Turner I can show you how to get a flat stomach with the minimal of effort. You need to make some consistent effort, but it wont be too bad, I promise. Im going to give you 5 ways to lose 1 inch from your stomach. 1. Swim. Swimming doesnt actually burn as many calories as jogging, but because its easier due to being suspended in water you can go for longer and burn more calories that way. If you swim everyday for 30 minutes you should lose about 1 inch from your stomach in six weeks. 2. Hold the press ups. Not only will your chest muscles benefit, but hold a press up for thirty seconds and will help flatten your stomach. Do 3 sets of 30 press ups a day and youll lose an inch off your waist. 3. Nice and easy east a bigger breakfast! Making breakfast the biggest meal of the day can cut your overall intake of calories by 10%. That means that in 8 weeks youll see the benefit 1 inch from your stomach and looser jeans! 4. If you go to the gym try a Nordic skiing machine. Just 16 minutes on this can burn 200 calories. In just 30 mins a day for 5 weeks and a 1 inch loss will be your reward. 5. Walk it off. Research shows that you can lose weight up to four times quicker by taking light exercise in short bursts daily. Walking briskly for approx 20 minutes twice per day should melt one inch from your waist in about two months. Hopefully you will agree that these are fairly simply ways to lose weight. If you are serious you can mix and match to burn off more than one inch, but be careful not to lose weight too quickly. If you are serious about getting a flat stomach, why not get this free course. It comes from a body builder (ever seen a fat body builder?) There are no cathes, just great information on how to lose weight the healthy way. http://www.thinneryou.co.uk Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Paul_Turner http://EzineArticles.com/?How-to-Get-a-Flat-Stomach&id=403976 buy phentermine in louisiana buy phentermine no rx phentermine online doctor approval buy phentermine online with mastercard

Research the Old-Fashioned Way: Why the Library is Not Obsolete

Sunday, February 10th, 2008

By Kelly Garbato Although researching and writing a college paper has never been childs play, it was a bit more straightforward and less complicated before the advent of the Internet. Aspiring student researchers simply visited their universitys library, where they could easily check out a few relevant books after consulting the card catalog and use a periodical index to find a journal article or two. Nowadays, there are many more choices in addition to those regular, old-fashioned standbys. Still, the Internet has yet to render the library obsolete! The World Wide Web has become a boundless source of information, bringing knowledge to the homes of millions. Yet, despite the tens of billions of pages available online, it’s a mistake to conclude that everything is available (somewhere!) on the Web. Contrary to popular belief, the entire world’s wisdom is not online and free for the taking. Some information will cost you, while other resources are nowhere to be found. Additionally, the Web is rife with misinformation. Unfortunately, many students not only turn first to the Internet for their research needs, but they are also handicapped by their inability to distinguish reputable resources from unreliable ones. While use of the Internet can make research more convenient, it may also result in carelessness. Students are better served by beginning their research at the library and using the Web as a secondary resource. Fortunately, the Internet has also changed the way in which the supposedly pass library functions. While you may still see drawers upon drawers of card catalogs, most libraries have also made their catalogs available online. Computers have facilitated interlibrary loan (ILL) as well. Likewise, paper journals and microfiche persist, but these resources are supplemented with subscriptions to online academic databases. Ultimately, libraries have used the Internet to provide the best of both worlds - the reputable resources available at the library, digitalized for greater accessibility. 1. Online Catalogs In all likelihood, you’ve probably already used a card catalog, even if it was way back in elementary school. While catalogs do still exist, the good news is that most of them have been digitalized. Now available online, they’re much easier to access and search. If you can connect to your library’s computer system remotely, you can even browse their holdings from your dorm room! Online catalogs generally consist of records of the library’s holdings (books, journals, dissertations, manuscripts, etc.), as opposed to the holdings themselves. A record can include any of the following information: author, title, publisher, date and place of publication, journal title, subject, and keywords. You might be tempted to dismiss catalogs since they don’t provide instant gratification - immediate, full-text access to all available resources. However, you can access many of the holdings either via online academic databases or in the library itself - all it takes is a little detective work! Other libraries offer access to their catalogs as well. WebCATS (http://www.libdex.com/) is an index of over 18,000 libraries’ catalogs. You can browse them by geographical location or search the index by keyword. Each entry provides a direct link to the library’s online holdings. 2. Interlibrary Loan (ILL) Some libraries partner up with others and form groups called consortia. These consortia provide access to one another’s holdings - this is where ILL comes in. When you search your library’s catalog, most likely you’re simultaneously searching the catalogs of your library’s consortia as well. These libraries include not only university libraries, but also public, school, government, corporate, and institutional libraries. If you find a resource that isn’t available at your “home” library, you can either borrow it or obtain a copy from the library that houses it. Many libraries offer this service online, but if you have any questions or are unable to locate an online form, it can be done at your library’s reference desk as well. If you aren’t affiliated with a library (or if you need a resource that belongs to a library that your own library isn’t associated with), you might be able to borrow or order it for a fee. 3. Academic Databases Academic databases are privately owned or proprietary databases that charge users a fee to search their holdings or retrieve full-text documents. While members of the public can pay to use these services online, students have ready access to dozens of proprietary databases that their libraries subscribe to. These academic databases can cover a wide range of subjects, from business to the humanities, and offer everything from citations and abstracts to full-text documents. A single company may produce several different databases, and different databases may include some of the same materials (including journals, articles, or even smaller or more specific databases). Before you can choose the right database, you need to have a general idea of what subject you’ll be researching. Then, browse your library’s site for a database that covers your desired topic. Most likely, you’ll have several promising databases from which to select. Don’t be discouraged, and don’t rely on just one - try them all out! Although some of their coverage may overlap, you’ll probably be able to find unique resources in each of them. While students veer towards databases, especially those that provide instant access to full-text articles, this is a grave mistake. As expansive as they may be, academic databases don’t usually include books, dissertations, or multimedia materials. Their coverage generally only dates back to the 1970s, and they don’t provide exhaustive coverage of most disciplines. Even worse, the full-text articles sometimes contain mistakes, including typographical errors and omissions of sections of the article - or even the entire article itself! Ideally, you should supplement your use of full-text databases with databases that only provide citations or abstracts. Then, you can use your library’s online catalog to locate hard copies of the materials. If the sources you’re interested in aren’t available at your library, it’s very possible that you’re librarian will be able to help you track them down. The next time you need to do some research, make the first stop your library as opposed to your laptop! Far from being supplanted by the Digital Age, libraries have integrated new technologies into their services, making them more useful than ever. Studies show that a potential client is 50% more likely to contact a business who has a toll-free number. Marketing via the internet draws potential clients from all over the globe. 5 Simple Steps To Dividing Your Hardy Water Lilies

Friday, February 8th, 2008

By Brett Fogle If you missed the springtime window of opportunity to divide your hardywater lilies, don’t worry, it’s not too late. Although springtime isthe best time, you’ve actually got the entire normal growing season toget it done. The reason for dividing your water lilies is that they eventually runout of room in their existing pots and need more room for the roots tospread out so the plant can flourish. Not only is this relatively easyto do, but you end up with more plants as a bonus! Step 1 Remove the plant from the pot and gently rinse the dirt from the rootsystem. Step 2 Cut the older growth from one end of the tuber, and the newergrowth from the other. If there are new “eyes” along the tuber you cansnip them off and pot them if you wish. Step 3 Take a sharp knife and cut the tuber back on the ‘growing’ part. Onsmall plants you can safely cut the tuber down to 2-3 inches. Keep it ataround 5-6 inches for larger plants. You should also cut off new buds and any older leaves so the plant canstay focused on growing a new root system. Step 4 Plant the tuber in good quality garden soil that has been poured into apot that is suitable for water gardening. Potting soil is not the bestchoice so make sure that the package says ‘garden soil’. Insert the tuber into the soil placing it next to the wall of the potrather than in the center of the pot. Insert a couple of aquatic plant food tabs about halfway into the soiland then pack the soil around the tuber so it will stay in place whenthe pot is submerged. Finally, pour a layer of pea gravel over the soil to keep it fromwashing away. This also discourages your fish from digging in the pot.Make sure that you do not cover the crown of the tuber with gravel. Step 5 Slowly submerge the pot into your garden pond. Don’t be alarmed if somedirt residue mixes in with the water. This is normal and it will soonsettle to the bottom and the water will clear. Keep your new plants in water that is no deeper that 12″ until younotice at least five or six new leaves. Once the plant is establishedyou can place it in deeper water if you wish. There, you’re done. Now your old plants will have more room to grow andyou’ll have new plants to keep or share with friends. Wasn’t that easy? ************************************************** Brett Fogle is the owner of MacArthur Water Gardens and several other pond-related websites includingMacArthurWatergardens.com and Pond-Filters-Online.com. The Rejection of America

Friday, February 8th, 2008

By Maurice Perry “…one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty, and justice, for all.” I can recall the days of my youth when I would be required to recite the Pledge of Allegiance, “religiously,” in elementary school. Back then it seemed like a formative nuisance - just one of those things that was part of the school day. I am not saying that I totally despised reciting the pledge. I just accepted the fact that every morning at the beginning of the school day, the entire school, as a unit, recited the pledge with no complaints or issues. Yes, there were students that did not have to stand and recite the pledge due to various religious beliefs. But this never became an issue that was totally blown out of proportion. I mean, we do live in a country that promotes liberty and freedom for all. Right? One nation, Under God - In God we trust. These are just a few phrases that have framed the existence of this great country, America, since its conception. The fingerprints of God are on this country, allowing the favor and anointing of God to rest and inhabit the land. Prosperity and favor have been the mantras of America because of its acknowledgement of the laws of God (Ten Commandments) and God Himself as the Supreme Being and source of all good things. Times have changed drastically, however. In a land that once revered God and held the Holy Bible in high standards, there has arisen an Anti-God spirit in which is virtually responsible for the downward spiral of the nation as a whole. In a land that once respected various commandments such as “thou shalt not kill”, or “thou shalt not commit adultery,” secular opinion openly glorifies violence, murder and sexual perversion, as if these things are the new age “gospel” of America. What has happened? The children of Israel, as depicted throughout the entire old testament of the bible, is a great foreshadow, or mirror image of today’s America. A people that were delivered from bondage and given freedom, the children of Israel habitually turned their backs on God and decided that their ways were better than God’s ways. A God that brought them out of Egypt and Babylon did not receive the respect and love from His children that He rightfully deserved. Hosea 4:1-61 Hear the word of the Lord, ye children of Israel: for the Lord hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the Land.2 By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood.3 Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth therein shall languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away.4 Yet let no man strive, nor reprove, another: for thy people are as they that strive with the priest.5 Therefore shalt thou fall in the day, and the prophet also shall fall with thee in the night, and I will destroy thy mother.6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. The situation is most definitely the same with today’s America. Throughout the years, secular opinion has tried to subliminally erase the knowledge of God and any representation of God in America. Unfortunately, because of the lack of knowledge of who God is and His commandments, wickedness and unrighteousness has been able to abound and fester. The voice of the Lord has not been given attention and has subsequently been drowned out by the perverseness and lack of holiness in this land - America. If it were not for the abundant grace and mercy of God, America would possibly be the modern example of Sodom and Gomorrah, utterly destroyed by fire, brimstone, His anger and wrath. Nonetheless, God is becoming extremely fed up with a stiff necked people that refuse to honor Him and give Him glory. And because of this, the wrath of God is inevitable for this nation. Though America is the leading nation in mission work, and despite the fact that America has been the greatest supporter of the nation of Israel, and even though America gives more money to struggling nations than any other nation, all of these things cannot, and will not stop the coming judgment and wrath of God. These humanitarian efforts may delay the wrath, but in no way will it cancel the wrath and judgment. Just as the children of Israel rejected God, so has America. Hence, there will come a time of mourning - moreso than the period of time that immediately followed September 11, 2001. 9/11 will be a hiccup compared to the judgment and wrath of God that is coming. So severe will the judgment be that even the birds of the air, the beasts of the field and the fish of the sea will be removed! I strongly believe that we are heading for a time in the near future where all that we will have is God. This is what God wants anyways. But unfortunately, it will only be through tragedy, persecution, tribulation and travail that the citizens of America will recognize God again, turn away from the sinful ways of the culture, and serve God unconditionally. If we look back at 9/11 briefly, we can remember how there was a great influx of souls to local churches. Ministries throughout the country experienced exponential growth for a short period of time. This was just a microcosm of what is to come. There is a great awakening that will come - an awakening that will be triggered by the hand of God - an awakening that pulls on the heartstrings of Americans nationwide. This awakening will strip everything Americans lean on and force them to lean on none other than God Almighty. God wants America to know Him again. He wants us to return to the days of our youth when prayer in schools was commonplace. He wants us to return to the days where we acknowledged who He was. If we do not acknowledge God now, we will be forced to do so in the days to come (every knee shall bow, every tongue will confess). I do not believe that it would be wise for people to try to test God and not accept Him into their heart. Jesus Christ is waiting to take each and everyone of us by the hand and escort us to Father God. It is the knowledge of the Son that leads us to the love of God. God wants to continue to bless America. But we are making it increasingly difficult for Him to find a reason to do so. Maurice Perry is an up and coming author in the kingdom of God. Camera Cell Phone Picture

Thursday, February 7th, 2008

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Rolf_Rasmusson]Rolf Rasmusson Camera cell phone picture - recent development. Camera cell phone picture is a recent development. You can take a camera cell phone picture with any of the camera cell phones that are available on today’s market. There are many phones (Samsung SGHV-205 and Samsung SPH-a600 digital camera phones, for example) produced by most major cellular phone companies like Samsung, Motorola, Nokia, LG, Sanyo, and many more. These phones and cameras are technologically advanced and they are becoming more and more cutting edge. Camera cell phone picture - quality. Camera cell phone picture is usually somewhat of a different quality compared to lets say a digital camera picture. The camera cell phone picture has less focus and has smaller resolution. But it is still of a good quality, especially if you have one of the newer camera cell phones and a good color LCD screen. I some cases the pictures taken by the cell phone camera will have a better quality if you will email them from your phone to your email address. Camera cell phone picture - store your memories. Camera cell phone picture is an excellent way to store something for future memories. You don’t have to run around looking for a regular camera to take a photo of something.
