We were not created to me servants of God. He wanted friends. If you can truly realize the truth in those words, it will change your life. It is not about the rules. It is about the relationship. Whether we are talking about your relationship with your spouse, children, boss, or God, you must first have the relationship, before you can ever follow the rules. Lets think about your relationship with your spouse. There are certain rules that you know that you are going to have to keep. (Ex: No going out every night to party with your friends. No inappropriate relationships. No coming and going as you please.) You can focus on keeping the rules, but that will not give you the relationship. However, if you focus on building the relationship, you can forget about the rules. You are not going to want to go out every night if you are truly focused on the relationship you have with your spouse. The Old Testament tells the story of when Joseph told Potiphars wife that he could not have an affair with her was because it would have been a sin against God. The question is, how did he know it was a sin? The story took place BEFORE the Ten Commandments! The answer is, because he had a relationship with God. Our children are the same. If we focus on building healthy relationships with our children, the rules will take care of themselves. Am I saying you do not need to give your children rules and limitations? Of course not. I am saying to make sure you put more emphasis on having a relationship with your children, not just rules. Guide to Bonsai Tools

By Steve Welker To practice the art of Bonsai you must have the proper tools. I am going to list and describe the more common bonsai tools. When you first start out you will not need all of the tools listed and depending on your level of involvement in Bonsai you may never need them all. Pruning & Cutting Tools Pruning and cutting tools are used for any cutting that is too heavy to be performed with scissors. Concave Branch Cutter: These are heavy duty cutters designed similar to bolt cutters. They are used to cleanly and smoothly remove fair sized branches. Spherical Knob Cutters: Are similar to the branch cutter except the cutting piece is spherical. These are designed to cut through heavy knobs or knots. Folding Pruning saw: This is a small rough-cut saw that with a blade that folds back into the handle similar to a pocketknife. They are used for cutting very heavy branches or when you need to cut down the trunk of your bonsai tree. Shears: You use shears for many different medium to light cutting jobs.Woodworking Gouges: Gouges are used for multiple artistic purposes in bonsai. They are frequently used to remove bark or to score the trunk to simulate natural damage to a tree. Scissors: Scissors are a staple tool for all bonsai enthusiast; they come in various shapes and sizes to handle various jobs. Leaf Cutting Scissors: Just as the name implies these are used mainly for light work like pruning back or removing leaves. Shoot Trimming Scissors: These are a heavier set of scissors designed for cut small to mid-sized shoots or branches. Heavy Duty Shoot Scissors: These are an even heavier pair of scissors designed for all the shoots that are too large for the regular shoot scissors but too small for a pruner. Potting Tools The pot that you keep your bonsai in is very important for both its health and proper development. Bonsai need frequent re-potting and root modification. These are the tools most useful for those tasks. Root Hooks: These are used to separate the root ball into a more manageable form for trimming and pruning. They are a heavy wire bent at one end and usually sharpened to a fair point. Potting Trowel: This is just a small garden trawl that will be used to dig and manipulate the soil in your bonsai pot. Soil Scoops: Are small metal or plastic cups with a handle and the open end is cut into a scoop shape. They are used to remove or add soil to the pot. Brush: Soft brushes are used to lightly clean and maintain the trunk, branches and leaves of the bonsai. Wire Tools: Wires are frequently used to train the bonsai plant into the proper artistic form. There are a multitude of tools used to work with wire most of these are available at any hardware or automotive store. Common Wire Snips: These are common wire snips that are frequently used by electricians, they should be heavy enough to handle any of the aluminum wire used for bonsai. Heavy Duty Wire Snips : These are just a heavier version of the snips listed above that might be needed if you are working with some heavier than average wire. Pliers: Common house hold pliers are used for bending and twisting the wire into the proper shape and position. Needle Nose Pliers: These are pliers that come to a fine point and are useful for working in tight confines around the trunk and branches. Miscellaneous Tools Some general tools that do not fit in any of the other categories. Chop Sticks: These are perfect for tamping and working the soil down around the roots of the tree. Gardeners Knife: This is handy for many of the heavy non-delicate cutting you have to do. Rake: A small rake just like a garden or yard rake except in miniature is used to clean and maintain the surface of the soil. Tweezers: Tweezers are often necessary to work around the limited space on many bonsai. The advent of plastics and other new materials for keeping food safe have not been successful in dislodging tin as one of the top choices when it comes to storing food. Tin is a metal that is mined mostly in the South East Asian region and parts of South America. Tin mines normally look like a gigantic hole in the ground with a huge tin miner digging are the center. The raw tin has to be smelted and purified before it can be used. Smelting involves indirectly heating the tin to extreme temperatures to remove the impurities. Ever since it was discovered that sealing food in an airtight container will preserve its freshness, the food industry has been looking at many options of implementing the discovery economically. The first attempts were with sealed glass bottles. Although the glass bottles worked very well, they do come with limitations. Glass was getting expensive to manufacture and they break quite easily. These limitations were holding the food business. When the tin can was invented, the food industry made huge steps in mass-producing preserved food for the masses. Tin cans were fairly easy to manufacture and were cheap too. This would increase the profit margin and suddenly, selling huge amounts of preserved food was good for business. The tin cans were capable of withstanding much more abuse than glass bottles so this made them very easy to ship to anywhere in the world. Furthermore, the size and shape of the tin containers are only limited to the production capability of individual factories. Due to the high degree of flexibility in manufacturing tin containers, businesses are not just limited to producing tin cans. The tin containers started to emerge in various shapes and sizes to cater to business needs and branding opportunities. Nowadays, we still see the tin can on store shelves. Why do Humans Need a God?

By Lance Winslow Many have asked why people need a God to cope with life? There must be a reason, because it appears that every culture in recorded history had some belief in some type of god. All the different cultures, tribes, societies and civilization had their Gods, trinkets, traditions, rituals and temples. But why; we know now, or some of understand that all these stories and myths were nothing more than figments of our imagination. Most all ancient writing has in it; Invisible ghosts, invisible friends and/or Gods. Isnt it amazing that even modern day civilizations cannot seem to shake this and those who wish to lead use it to manipulate us into their created realities. Just look at the Evil Muslim Clerics who twist and turn the people commit atrocities against humanity? Look at the Witch Doctors in Haiti with their Voodoo Dolls? Look at the Catholic Church and their strangle hold on their followers, while they allow their leadership to rape and molest our children? It seems that mankind just cannot get over the fact that there is something more. Something we do not completely understand thru science and it scares us a little, not knowing. We have questions unanswered such as; How did all this come to be? Why am I here? How should I live my life? What happens when I die? When does it all end? Organized Religion has always attempted to answer these questions and our fears, yet it has always done so, without proof. In return it asks of us to follow the leadership of that religion, sometimes into wars, poverty, self sacrifice and of course to give our resources, time, effort and tithing. It is amazing all the people following all these false Gods and Organized Religions. Dont you just laugh sometimes? I mean come on people, think about it, we are suppose to honor ones religion and allow them to worship their choice of God, yet if a child has an invisible friend we immediately help them by seeking psychological help? Dont you think all the other religions are just nuts? Really? And when was the last time your re-evaluated your own? I see? Now my question to you is; Why do humans need a God? What is wrong with all of you? Are you unsure of yourselves, mentally weak or lacking self-confidence? Have you looked into any of this? You must use this valuable tool not just for your weight loss goals but also for general health and well being.
